3. Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. I currently offer secure, confidential telehealth sessions so you can receive support from the comfort of your home.
4. How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 50–55 minutes, though this may vary depending on your needs and treatment.
5. Do you accept insurance?
I am in network with some insurance plans. I ask that you verify mental health benefits with your insurance company prior to scheduling. Whether there is a copay for services or a deductible that must be met, it is your responsibility to understand what is covered by your insurance and what will need to be covered by you.
Using health insurance for therapy sessions can provide some benefit in reducing costs of services. However, it's important to know that there is limited confidentiality by using insurance due to protected health information needing to be shared with them. Some insurance policies also dictate the number of sessions or types of therapies that can be provided; limiting the provider's ability to have complete control over clinical decision making.
6. What can I expect in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for me to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your goals, your history, and what brought you to counseling. My priority is creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood.
7. How often will we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or bi‑weekly, depending on their needs. We’ll decide together what feels most supportive.
8. How do I schedule an appointment?
You can contact me directly at 314‑756‑7512 to schedule a session. If you have a website or scheduling link, we can add that here too.
9. What is your approach to counseling?
I use a trauma‑informed, person‑centered, and strength‑based approach. My work is grounded in empathy, safety, and hope, helping you build resilience and move toward healing.
10. Do you work with children online?
Yes. I offer telehealth for children and teens, using age‑appropriate tools and strategies to keep sessions engaging and effective.
11. What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?
That’s completely normal. Many people feel unsure at first. My role is to meet you where you are, at your pace, and create a space where you feel supported—not judged.

14. What should I do if I'm not happy with my services?
You have a right to safe and supportive counseling services, and I want to ensure that this is your experience with me. It's important to understand that not every therapist will be a good fit for you depending on their style and approach, personality, etc. You may choose to pursue services outside of Wishing Well Counseling. I can assist with this transition, if necessary, and offer referrals. I respect and support whatever decision you make. You can talk with me to resolve the issue or reach out to our owner directly at erin.wishingwellcounseling@gmail.com.
15. What can I expect during my first counseling session?
During your first counseling session at Wishing Well Counseling, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and what brought you to seek help. The therapist will ask questions to understand your background, current situation, and goals for therapy. This session is primarily about getting to know each other and establishing a comfortable environment for you to share. We prioritize creating a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
